Drink coffee, eat cake and devour sausage rolls under festive fairy lights in the new improved outdoor space!

Wow! We’ve been announced as winners of the South East in the Countryside Alliance Awards for local food 2017. Utterly delighted and thank you for all the nominations from you all that helped us reach the qualifying stages. We have been jointly honoured with Quex Barn in Kent as they couldn’t split us and we are the only category with 2 winners, a very tough competition. 11000 entries down to the last 7! Off up to the House of Lords  for the winners reception next month where we were so inspired a couple of years ago – not forgetting the fabulous canapes of course!




Last month now but what an incredible couple of evenings here at the farm shop with exceptional food created by Cuxham Mill using our own Dexter beef and Gloucester Old Spot pork. Fantastic guests, firepits and canapes al fresco – in February!

Binfield Heath Annual Polo Charity Day Sunday 30th July 2017

poloBecoming a bit of an institution, the Binfield Heath Polo Club Charity Day is being held tomorrow from 10am at the polo ground, Gravel Road, Binfield Heath. Join us for 14 hour smoked Dexter brisket & cold Coronas, polo finals, bouncy castle and ice cream van for the kiddos and general all round lovely day with a forecast for fairly decent weather!

Admission is £20 per car or £5 per person with every penny from the gate going to the Thames Valley Air Ambulance.


It’s all about the Old Spot this week….

Wow…as farmers and chief rearers we thought it was only fair in the name of quality control to sample our latest free range pork,  fresh in for this weekend (all in the name of customer satisfaction you understand!)
Well this is the thing – it’s sublimely good!
Boned rolled shoulders, thick cut chops, pork belly, leg on the bone, mince, sausagemeat and original sausages. With one of our favourite local chefs having collected his order for their next pop up night (see below), you know you’re in great company taste wise! Bringing mayhem and mischief to the farm in the cutest possible way, our latest litters of piglets have arrived! One litter of 3 and one of 11!! With more to follow we anticipate a lot of interest in those of you stopping at the egg box as these little munchkins are very nosey!

You may be amused to hear of our own little nativity here on the farm this Christmas just gone with the birth of a very unexpected calf on Christmas morning.

A little girl now named Santa who will definitely never be destined for the abattoir.

What is even more amusing is how Dozer, our (we’re beginning to discover) very amorous bull managed that one – or to be more specific… when! With two more calves expected in March (although based on Santa they could be any time at all), he seems to have discovered the fine art of jumping his significant tonnage over the fences!

Blue Tin Produce have been selected as finalists in the 2015 Countryside Alliance Awards, otherwise known as the Rural Oscars.

We will be competing in the Local Food category against businesses from across England and Wales for the Champions title.

Wow! So thank you to our wonderful customer who nominated us for this prestigious award and to all of you for voting us into the finals!

The awards were set up 11 years ago to offer a voice and a platform to rural businesses and are a true celebration of the British countryside. Finalists across the 4 categories have been drawn from thousands of nominations and the awards are nomination-led so our inclusion speaks very highly of the loyalty of our customers. Winners will be announced in April 2016.

Reception at the Houses of Parliament
